I was born in 1981.

 

I grew up listening to music that my friends hadn't even heard of. I watched movies they wouldn't watch until they were adults in film school. I read books that were on the school summer list, before I knew they were on the school summer list.

 

My bedtime stories were Edgar Allan Poe.

My introduction to Stephen King was the movie The Shining.

I knew about "ultraviolence" way before I should have (A Clockwork Orange).

Pulp Fiction was and is one of my favorite soundtracks as a teen. That and The Wall.

 

All of these experiences and more have shaped my writing style and have given me an outlook on what I want the world to see of me when it comes to my written works.

 

There was a big break from writing that happened abruptly due to a series of circumstances outside of my control. I missed writing and other outlets just weren't working! I needed to come back ..

 

I have had ebbs and flows...right now, I want to flow!
